Rule Breaker Snacks, proudly based in Brooklyn NY, was founded in 2015 by a certified health coach and former health journalist, Nancy Kalish. After interviewing hundreds of doctors and nutritionists, Nancy knew exactly what to eat to be healthy. BUT she has a serious sweet tooth, and could never find satisfying treats that weren’t full of sugar, preservatives, and other bad stuff. So she decided to create her own. Rule Breaker makes better-for-you blondies and baked goods that are actually based on something better. Chickpeas (yes, beans!) are the first ingredient, instead of sugar or a nutritionally empty flour. Chickpeas are a super-sustainable crop, which use much less water than wheat or almonds and return nitrogen to the soil, eliminating the need for greenhouse gas-producing fertilizers.
